Kinderhook Creek Farm, located in Eastern New York’s Rensselaer County Town of Stephentown, is owned by The Eckhardt Family. Larry, his wife Heather, sons Matt and Andrew, Larry’s Dad George and numerous other key employees raise fresh market vegetables, grain, hay and beef cattle sold direct to wholesale customers throughout the Eastern NY and Western New England area.
Started in 1959 by George and Jean Eckhardt, the farm has grown to include the third generation in the family business. Vegetables include the farm’s main crop, Fresh Sweet Corn as well as summer and winter squash and fall decorative gourds and pumpkins. The higher elevation of the farm provides for cool summer nights and warm summer days that allow their sweet corn to develop the fine flavors that customers enjoy, time and time again.
